Camry Trunk Lock Stuck

I stopped at a toyota dealership today.

Camry trunk lock stuck.

Can not get my trunk open by lever inside or key lock on trunk lid and i am using the right key. Then put the key in the lock and jiggle it. The lock itself should it become stuck and refuse to unlatch when you pull the handle or turn the key is not accessible from the outside but must be reached through the interior of the car for safety purposes.

We were traveling and the car was load with luggage. Trunk lock seems to be in open position. Regardless of the reason behind the trunk lockout the fact remains that you are unable to successfully access your trunk. I could remove and reinsert the key just fine but it wouldn t turn at all.

Valet mode means that you cannot open the trunk using the release lever to set valet mode you put the key into the trunk lock and turn it counterclockwise. Sometimes the camry can get stuck in valet mode and they key wont work. I couldn t use the driver s seat trunk release either as valets aren t supposed to have that access i guess. Trunk lock stuck in horizontal valet position.

Cant go through the back due to having a speaker system and speaker box is in the way. I cannot open the trunk with the key with the keyless remote or with the release on the floor next to the driver s side seat. In some cases your trunk won t open because you locked your keys in the trunk or it could be because there is an issue that revolves around the actual trunk lock itself. Use wd 40 or any silicone grease spray a bit on your key and on the lock.
